The Great Central Main Line : Loughborough Viaduct
(sometimes known as Stanford Viaduct)

Situated on the northern end of Loughborough, the viaduct is 176 yards long and carries the line over the River Soar.

The viaduct is in good condition although many coping stones have been thrown into the river below - they will eventually need recovering.
If you're on a train on the Midland Main Line then look to your left as you enter Loughborough (heading south)/right as you leave Loughborough (heading north). You'll see Stanford Viaduct striding across the valley.
